Banff Day Opportunities hosted a competitive football tournament for its service users and others from Aberdeenshire.
They took to the pitch at Macduff Community and Sports Centre.
Three teams participated which were Banff Day Opportunities Football Club and two from Ellon Day Opportunities – Ellon Devils and Ythan Angels.
After close fought games the gold medal went to Ythan Angels, silver to Banff Day Opportunities Football Club and bronze to Ellon Devils.
Support coordinator and tournament organiser Sam Walker said: “We had a really good day, all the players went home happy, tired and asking for more games.
“We had help from the Scottish Football Association which donated footballs and bibs; Scottish Disability Sport donated the medals and Refresco UK donated four crates of juice.”
Banff Day Opportunities is a community-based day service supporting adults with disabilities, whether it be learning difficulties, mental health problems or physical impairments, living in Banff, Macduff, Turriff and the surrounding area.
The service provides work, learning and social education opportunities in the community.
Services are provided based on an assessment of needs. It encourages integration into the wider community by accessing local facilities.
It provides training and support to people to help them become work ready and for further referral to employment services.
More intensive support can be provided for those who need it. Support workers can help with specific opportunities, such as swimming, employment and further education. They can also assist service users to join in group activities.
Its multi-sensory room can be tailored to individual needs. The room provides a safe multimedia environment where lighting, atmosphere, sounds and textures can be adapted to provide a stimulating or calming environment.
