Today, Wednesday, a number of iron factories operating in the local market announced an increase in the price of a ton of reinforcing steel, starting tomorrow, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at an average value of 1,000 pounds.
Today, the Al-Garhi Steel Factory informed the merchants that it had increased its prices by 1,000 pounds per ton for the factory’s land delivery, after it had previously been increased by 500 pounds in the first week of August. The price of a ton of Garhi iron in the factory land reached 33 thousand pounds, including 14% value-added tax.
And Bishay Steel told the merchants to raise the price of a ton of iron delivered to the factory from 33,000 pounds to 34,000 pounds, including the 14% value-added tax.
And the Egyptian Steel factory raised the price of a ton of rebar, delivered to the factory land, to 34,000 pounds.
While Ezz Steel fixed prices for factory land delivery at 32,135 pounds per ton, including 14% value-added tax.
