The Minister of Supply, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, reviewed the availability of stocks of a number of basic commodities in the market during today’s meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
Al-Moselhi indicated that we have enough wheat stock for 4.6 months, which is a very good balance.
Al-Moselhi added that with regard to edible oil, 125,000 tons of vegetable and soybean oil were purchased for the first time, and therefore we currently have an available reserve of edible oil, amounting to about 6 months of supply oil, in addition to what is available in the market.
