The statement of the Public Authority for Health Care referred to the governorates in which the system was activated, including 4 governorates, which are “Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia and South Sinai,” noting that 86,000 advanced operations were carried out out of the total operations in the aforementioned governorates, since the launch of the comprehensive health insurance system until now.
The statement noted that surgical operations were performed by 21 hospitals affiliated with the authority in the governorates of comprehensive health insurance, and completed: all operations and surgical interventions that were performed, ranging in severity from major, advanced, skilled operations, and of a special nature, in addition to medium and minor operations, according to the latest international technologies, under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance.

Noting that the extension of the comprehensive health insurance system to all governorates is a priority for the state and the government to ensure the provision of health care worthy of Egyptians, pointing out that work is underway to extend comprehensive health coverage to all Egyptians within 7 years, in implementation of the presidential mandates to press the timetable for the completion of the project and its inclusion in all governorates of the Republic.
