Immigration: Providing places for students returning from Russia and Sudan in private and private universities

Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, explained the convening of the “Permanent National Committee to Follow up Egyptian Students Abroad”, in the presence of Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration for Diasporas, Ambassador Reham Khalil, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cultural Affairs, and a number of representatives of ministries and state institutions. For her part, the Minister of Immigration explained that the Egyptian state is keen on the interest of the students returning from Sudan, Ukraine and Russia, adding that there is cooperation between the various concerned authorities to implement the decisions of the Permanent National Committee to follow up Egyptian students abroad, to provide places for returning students in private and private universities.

In the same context, Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration, explained that since the decision to form the “Permanent National Committee to Follow up Egyptian Students Abroad” headed by the Ministry of Immigration, the committee held several meetings with the participation of a number of ministries and state institutions, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Helmy Al-Ghar, Secretary General of the Private Universities Council, acting in charge of the Private Universities Council and the Council of Foreign Universities Branches, to develop a mechanism to solve the problems facing students returning from abroad.

In the same context, Dr. explained. Helmy Al-Ghar, Secretary General of the Council of Private and Private Universities, said that accepting students returning from abroad from places of conflict is a mandatory national responsibility, and there is no excuse for not accepting these students except that they do not complete the required papers, stressing that the admission system is open for registration daily until 9/30/2023.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Private and Private Universities confirmed that admission is not linked to any capacity, as these students are in addition to those who were accepted this year from the students who completed the secondary stage, with the need to submit and verify the mandatory administrative supporting documents, including the following: – Certificate of completion of secondary education A certificate of enrollment in the academic year 2022-2023, “The valid Karniyah is also valid, as a basis for enrollment,” and a certificate of movements stating residence in Sudan even before last Ramadan, i.e. until March 2023.
