Preparations are now underway to host the World Conference on Population, Health and Development, which will be held under the auspices and presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, from 5 to 8 September 2023.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, announced during a press conference he held on this international event that the conference will be an opportunity to renew Egypt’s international commitments towards population issues and confirm efforts to achieve maximum benefit from the demographic dividend.
The minister said that the conference will serve as a global dialogue platform for experts, policy makers, researchers and practitioners, seeking to exchange experiences and best practices and discuss the changing and interrelated relationships between health, population and development.

The conference program includes an exhibition that receives many partners and stakeholders to showcase the latest technologies in the fields of population, health and development.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar affirmed the keenness of the political leadership to overcome any obstacles facing achieving justice between men and women in obtaining the rights and exercising the freedoms guaranteed by the Egyptian constitution to all citizens.

The minister pointed out that the conference comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s interest in the population and development file, and is expected to result in recommendations and decisions aimed at improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen by paying attention to health and social care.
