Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, followed up the efforts of the Supreme Medical Committee and the council’s calls for help, during the month of August 2023, through a report submitted by Dr. Hossam Al-Masry, Medical Adviser to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Committee.
The Prime Minister praised the role played by the Supreme Medical Committee and the Council of Ministers, in monitoring and receiving citizens’ complaints regarding the medical file, and dealing with them to provide the necessary medical care and required health interventions, in coordination with the ministries and concerned authorities.
Dr. Hossam Al-Masry explained that last month witnessed a response to about 1093 cases, which were monitored through the media and social networking sites, explaining that these responses included the issuance of 237 treatment decisions from the Prime Minister at the expense of the state, in addition to the issuance of 42 decisions for emergency cases, and 38 decisions to conduct Half-compatibility bone marrow transplants.
The medical advisor added that the committee’s efforts during the month of August also included the implementation of medical procedures for 118 cases of tumor patients and gamma knife operations, and the provision of medicines for 109 cases, with the installation of prostheses and compensatory devices for 39 cases of people with special needs.
Conducting a medical examination on 4740 cases
Dr. Hossam Al-Masry pointed out that during the past month, medical examinations were also conducted on 4,740 cases through medical convoys in the governorates of Beheira and Menoufia, in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities.
