Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Nevin El Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Dr. Ali Gomaa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr El Kheir Foundation, launched the “Shield of Tolerance… Upper Egypt without Vengeance” initiative from Aswan Governorate, which began with the support of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in the midst of a large presence of reconciliation men in all governorates of Upper Egypt, with great support from the political leadership.
In his speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, extended all thanks and appreciation to all participants in the success of this initiative to confront the bad habit of revenge, saying: “We were dreaming of this day and launching this important initiative to stop bloodshed and confront this bad habit.”
The Minister of Youth and Sports affirmed that Egypt has always been one fabric and there is no difference between a Muslim and a Christian because everyone in one country all work under its banner, pointing out that the Ministry of Youth joined this initiative in 2018. We did not hesitate for a moment to participate and provided all support and assistance, praising the support. President Al-Sisi and his quick response to the daughter of Upper Egypt and her initiative to stop bloodshed, praising the great role of the Misr El-Khair Foundation, headed by Dr. Ali Gomaa, in the success of this initiative and the spread of tolerance.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi praised the fruitful cooperation with the Misr El-Kheir Foundation in implementing a package of joint projects in youth centers throughout the Republic, and providing services to the most deserving citizens in light of the ministry’s vision and strategy aimed at cooperation with various institutions and agencies in an effort to achieve sustainable development in society.
In his speech, Dr. Ali Gomaa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Misr El Kheir” Foundation, affirmed the Foundation’s interest in supporting efforts aimed at human development, which represent the main element in the Foundation’s work in six basic areas: social solidarity, education, health, scientific research, aspects of life and integrated development, pointing out that The importance of preserving human development and developing mechanisms to improve life conditions in all directions, primarily economic and social, and what they include in terms of stable family relationships that benefit society, announcing the beginning of a level day without revenge, the day of tolerance, and we strive in this way for the sake of God Almighty.
Dr. Ali Gomaa said: “We gather today to celebrate what we did, not what we will do. This initiative began in 2013, and Egypt’s good cooperation began 7 years ago, and the results are more than impressive. The total number of cases is more than 700 cases in which we stopped the reprehensible habit of revenge, and these results are beyond imagination, and this is not an act.” Humans, but an act of success from God Almighty, so what humans have to do, and God Almighty has given us that He is pleased with this work.
Dr. Ali Gomaa indicated that the “Misr El Kheir” Foundation was proactive in implementing initiatives and projects aimed at preserving the entity of the Egyptian family, foremost of which is the Values and Life project, which aims to re-disseminate human values in society in 27 governorates, and 160 initiatives have been reached to spread societal values, including an initiative for cleanliness, an initiative to care for the elderly, an initiative to protect girls from harassment, an initiative to spread happiness, and many other initiatives. The initiatives turned into scientific projects.
