The Directorate of Labor in South Sinai Governorate organized the activities of the Occupational Safety and Health Forum at the Suez Oil Company Saghira, with the participation of 20 industrial establishments in the mineral wealth industry from oil extraction, mines and quarries, with the participation of 25 occupational safety and health officials in those companies, under the auspices of the Minister of Labor Hassan Shehata. In a statement, the ministry stated that it had received a report from Ashraf Alam El Din, Director of the Labor Directorate in South Sinai, in which he stated that at the end of Labor Minister Hassan Shehata’s recent visit to South Sinai Governorate, he issued his directives on the need to strengthen labor relations and support development plans, in implementation of President Sisi’s directives and spreading a culture of safety and health. The Directorate responded immediately and organized the activities of the Occupational Safety and Health Forum with the participation of 20 industrial establishments in the mineral wealth industry from oil extraction, mines and quarries for the first time in the Suez Oil Company Saghira to raise awareness of the culture of occupational safety and health within the work environment, and to provide a safe work environment for both parties to work. work and the worker”, in which all means of occupational safety and health are available.
The Director of the Directorate added that the activities of the forum took place over two days at the company’s headquarters in South Sinai to disseminate the concepts, culture and instructions of occupational safety and health, with the participation of 25 occupational safety and health officials in the governorate, noting that the forum also included lectures by chemist Mohamed Madkour and chemist Tariq Mustafa, during which discussions took place to achieve The maximum possible benefit for the participants and the exchange of views. The activities of the first day came in the presence of the engineer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Muhammad Al-Khayyat, Ahmed Mustafa, Undersecretary of the Labor Directorate in South Sinai, and Brigadier General Sameh Al-Mutwali, Head of Abu Redis City, on behalf of Major General Staff Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, in order to provide a safe work environment And a stable climate that increases productivity and achieves Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the goals of sustainable development on the territory of the governorate.
