Ministry of Labor: Job opportunities for people of determination in Cairo

The Directorate of Labor in Cairo Governorate announced the appointment of 24 young people of determination, through the Heliopolis Inspection Office, in 3 establishments from the private and investment sectors in the governorate, as part of the directorate’s efforts to integrate this group into society by providing them with decent job opportunities, and training them in fixed and mobile training centers. affiliated to the Ministry, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Hassan Shehata, regarding the need to pay attention to providing job opportunities for people of determination and vocational training suitable for their type of disability, in order to integrate them into the labor market and benefit from their potential and capabilities in community development within the framework of implementing the directives of the political leadership in this regard.

Ahmed Azaz, Director of the Labor Directorate in Cairo, stated in his report, which was received by the Ministry, that 24 work contracts for people of determination were signed in the presence of officials of 3 companies: Al-Israa Pharma, Lopassage Hotel, and CRIF, in the presence of Madiha Sayed, Rehab Abdo, and Hadeer Ragab from the office. Inspection of Heliopolis, noting the Directorate’s keenness to follow up the employment of people of determination in the establishments that provided job opportunities, and to ensure that they obtain their rights and gains guaranteed to them by law.

The Director of the Directorate added that more job opportunities will continue to be provided for this group in the private and investment sector establishments to meet the 5% of the total workers within the establishments in which 20 workers or more work, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 10 of 2018 regarding the care of people with disabilities, and Labor Law No. 12 of 2003. And that is through the departments affiliated to the Directorate, such as labor inspection, employment, safety and occupational health offices.
