The National Tunnels Authority is preparing to open 6 new stations on the third line of the metro network, which comes within the framework of the plan to upgrade the mass transit system.

Major General Tariq Gouili, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Tunnels, said that the metro receives about 5.5 million passengers per month, up from 3 million passengers in the past, and the number is expected to rise to 10 million with the completion of the third phase, then 15 million passengers per month with Entry to stage C3.

Gouili ​​added, in televised statements, that it is planned to complete the implementation of phase 3C in the first half of 2024, provided that the trial operation of phase 3C will begin by next October.
