Statistics: Egyptian exports to the Arab Unity countries increased to 1.9 billion dollars

Egypt’s exports to the countries of the Council of Arab Economic Unity grew by 5.5%, reaching $1.9 billion during the first five months of 2023, compared to $1.898 billion during the corresponding months of the previous year, an increase of $22.3 million.

The latest reports of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics – a copy of which was obtained by Al-Dustour – showed that Libya ranked first among the countries of the Arab Economic Unity with the highest value of Egyptian exports to it, which amounted to 541.2 million dollars during the first five months of the current year 2023, compared to 483.5 million dollars during the previous months. The corresponding from the previous year, with an increase of $57.7 million, followed by Sudan, to which Egyptian exports amounted to $308.057 million during the first five months of 2023, compared to $385.9 million during the corresponding months of the previous year, a decrease of $77.8 million.

Egyptian exports to Iraq rose to $263.4 million during the first five months of 2023 compared to $227 million during the corresponding months of the previous year, an increase of $36.4 million. Exports to Yemen also rose to $137.2 million during the first five months of 2023 compared to 128.8 million dollars during the corresponding months of the previous year, an increase of 8.4 million dollars.

While Egypt’s exports to Jordan fell to about $277.3 million during the first five months of 2023, compared to $325.9 million during the corresponding months of the previous year, a decrease of $48.5 million.
