The head of the Health Care Authority meets with the governor of Ismailia to follow up on the latest developments in the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate

Dr. Ahmed El Sobky, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, met Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara, Governor of Ismailia, at the end of his inspection tour of the health facilities of the Health Care Authority in Ismailia Governorate.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia Governorate, the efforts made to enhance health care services, the progress made in implementing the system and following up on its results so far. and make it available to all.

The meeting dealt with the executive position of a number of health facilities scheduled to join the comprehensive health insurance system to complete the system in Ismailia, and to find out the latest developments in construction and development work and to raise the ongoing efficiency in them.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky indicated that the comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia is based on 66 health facilities, 12 hospitals, in addition to 54 family medicine centers and units, noting that 43 health facilities have received them so far, pointing out that the cost of the comprehensive health insurance project in the governorate amounted to 10.125 billion. Egyptian pounds, and included the cost of infrastructure, medical and non-medical equipment, and trial operation of health facilities in the governorate.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky praised the efforts of workers in the health care sector in Ismailia, and all those who contributed to the success of the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate and the achievement of its goals.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky stressed that this meeting reflects the commitment of the Public Authority for Health Care and the Ismailia Governorate to enhance cooperation and coordination for the continuous development of the health care services system through the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system, and comes within the framework of the Egyptian government’s efforts to achieve a comprehensive vision to provide high-quality health care to all citizens. And achieving sustainable improvements in health care in all governorates of the Republic, including Ismailia.

For his part, Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara confirmed that the Ismailia governorate has become witnessing a distinguished medical level after the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system, which provided all the needs of citizens in terms of services and health care, thanking Dr. continuously.
