The Minister of Education directs the completion of early preparations for the new academic year

Today, Thursday, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, held a meeting with the leaders of the Directorate of Education, directors and agents of educational departments, directors of qualitative stages, and general supervisors of academic subjects, in Matrouh Governorate, at the headquarters of the governorate’s general office. This is to review the executive mechanisms and procedures for developing the educational process, and to check on preparations for the new academic year 2023/2024.

This came in the presence of Major General Yousry Salem, Assistant Minister for the Affairs of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, and Amr Shehata, Director of the Education Directorate in the governorate.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness at visiting Matrouh Governorate, stressing that Major General Khaled Shuaib spares no effort in providing all means of support to the educational system in the governorate.

For his part, Major General Khaled Shoaib, Governor of Matrouh, welcomed Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, stressing his pride in this fruitful visit and the efforts made to improve the educational process in the governorate.

Opening of new schools

Major General Khaled Shuaib confirmed that the governorate is keen to open new schools in the governorate to face the student densities, as today the foundation stone of the Rural Schools complex was laid, which includes the Future Generations School from nursery to high school and Sama Al-Alam School for Basic Education for Girls, in addition to the opening of the Egyptian-Japanese School, pointing to It is scheduled to open new schools during the coming period at the governorate level.

During the meeting, the minister stressed the necessity of completing early preparations for the new academic year, stressing the need to complete maintenance and readiness of schools before the start of the new academic year 2023/2024, in order to achieve the highest levels of security and safety for school students, and all workers in educational institutions, and to complete all maintenance work. For all educational buildings nationwide to stave off danger before the start of the school year, exclude schools that are subject to a comprehensive maintenance plan, and quickly provide suitable places in nearby schools.

The minister also referred to the directives he issued to designate one of those responsible for minor maintenance inside the school on a daily basis to notice any maintenance needs and report them periodically.

Dr. Al-Wazir referred to the interest in green urbanization and environmentally friendly schools, and urged students to participate in artwork on these issues in order to raise awareness of them.

Preparing educational and training materials on the Ministry’s website

The minister also explained that within the framework of the Ministry’s procedures to alleviate the burden of parents, the Ministry is in the process of preparing educational and training materials on the Ministry’s website, in addition to setting up question banks, within the framework of the project launched by the Ministry “Assessment for Learning”.

The minister also indicated the necessity of activating educational platforms and educational channels, to help students achieve academic achievement, explaining that activating the platforms takes place with the participation of distinguished experts in various academic subjects, as distinguished teachers in various academic subjects at various educational stages provide classes on educational platforms and channels and explain the curricula. Technology is also integrated into the display of scientific experiments for the curricula on educational platforms and channels through “augmented reality”, as well as the application of viewing periods for our school channels in all schools, directing the need for an educational platform for each educational directorate.

The minister added that the ministry is in the process of finalizing qualitative documents for the preparatory stage curricula, explaining that the strategic goal of these curricula is to improve the quality of life for students, with fun activities.

The Minister directed that educational departments continue to intensify procedures for preparing halls for school support groups in a number of schools within each educational department and providing them with all capabilities, and the need to take the necessary measures so that school support groups become an attractive factor for our students, and to choose the best distinguished and prominent teachers to teach various subjects in support groups. school, especially for the stage of preparatory and secondary certificates, and the preparation of publicity and advertisement necessary for it.
