The Minister of Housing inspects the progress of work in the “Sawary” urban community projects in Alexandria

Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, inspected the progress of work on the projects being implemented in the Sawary urban complex in West Carrefour, Alexandria, which has an area of ​​419.74 acres. He was accompanied on his inspection tour by officials of the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the supervisor of the urban cluster. “Masters”.

The Minister of Housing and his entourage toured the project site and its various components, where he inspected models of housing units and models of villas that have been and are being finished, stressing the need to adhere to the deadlines set for implementation, and to carry out site coordination works in parallel with the implementation of the units, in order to complete the implementation of all components of the project in the same time. Time, and commitment to the highest quality in the various stages of implementing the “Sawary” project, which aims to provide various housing types and investment services, and also aims to contribute to increasing development projects in Alexandria Governorate.

The first axis

The minister explained that the first axis in the development of the “Sawary” urban community is represented by the New Urban Communities Authority implementing 64 residential towers, “Sawary Towers”, which include 3068 housing units on an area of ​​60 acres, within the first phase of the project, with a total area of ​​120 acres, by 71% completion, and the Al-Abraaj project is a residential compound “luxury housing” with units ranging from 130 to 280 square meters, and the villas project is also underway on an area of ​​57 acres, and includes 310 residential villas, with a completion rate of more than 82%, and utilities and road works are underway to make the area Ready to receive citizens as soon as the housing units are completed.

The minister added: The second axis is the development of the region, by directing the political leadership to the “Together We Build the Future” initiative, where a cooperation protocol was signed between the New Urban Communities Authority, the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces and a number of investors, to develop an area of ​​250 acres in the land of the “Sawary” urban community in the area. West Carrefour in Alexandria, through the implementation of investment projects under the partnership system and shares in kind, and plots of land under the partnership system include projects with activities (integrated urban – administrative – commercial – entertainment and clubs).

The supervisor of the urban community “Sawary” in West Carrefour in Alexandria indicated that the plots of land were handed over to investors and the implementation of projects began in parallel with reviewing and approving project designs submitted by investors for 46 plots of land, and in parallel with the completion of contracting procedures through the New Urban Communities Authority. According to the in-kind partnership system, under the supervision of the Communities Authority and the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, explaining that the total investments of partnership projects are estimated at 30 billion pounds.
