Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control GAHAR, announced today the most important decisions issued by the Supreme Committee for Accreditation, which was held on Tuesday, August 29.
The committee agreed to grant accreditation certificates to the following medical facilities:
Ismailia Medical Complex Hospital
– Fayed Family Medicine Center in Ismailia
– Future Radiology Center in Beheira
– Suez Canal Authority Medical Center “Shawky Khallaf” in Ismailia
– Al-Fouad Lab in Aswan
– Al-Gawhara Eye and LASIK Center in Ismailia
Hilla Family Medicine Unit, Luxor
– Western Kebahy Family Medicine Unit in Luxor
– Abu Daghar Family Medicine Unit in Luxor

Health facility registration renewal
The Higher Committee for Accreditation decided to renew the registration of Dar Al Fouad Hospital for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, the Sixth of October Branch in Giza, in addition to the registration of the Abu Sawir Family Medicine Center in Ismailia.
The head of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority added that the state seeks, through the comprehensive health insurance system, to achieve the highest levels of health security by ensuring the sustainability of the quality of all components of the medical service that the Egyptian citizen receives, stressing the full partnership between all sectors of health service providers from the government, private and private sectors on Joining the national project and providing quality services in the new republic.
National accreditation standards
Dr. Taha pointed out that the committee’s approval of the accreditation and registration of health facilities is based on the reports of a highly qualified and trained team of auditors who are committed to evaluating the facilities according to the national accreditation standards guides issued by the authority and which have obtained international accreditation from (ESCWA).
