The Egyptian Red Crescent Society announced the start of implementing awareness programs for primary school students, both Egyptians and others, in cooperation and partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund and the Ministry of Education.

The association revealed on its website that the awareness programs included 6 governorates:
Cairo 4100 students in 41 schools.
Giza 3 thousand students in 30 schools.
Qalyubia 800 students in 8 schools.
Alexandria 3 thousand students in 30 schools.
Damietta 1300 students 13 schools.
Red Crescent volunteers
In a related context, Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Administration for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, visited Alexandria Governorate to follow up on the awareness meetings in schools. The targeted projects implemented as a result of the fruits of the continuous cooperation between the United Nations Children’s Fund, the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Ministry of Education were appreciated.
The association added that these camps work to refine students’ skills through some recreational and artistic activities, in addition to the activities of the life skills program.
The association had launched a campaign to educate school students in 6 governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Sharkia, Qalyubia, Damietta, and Giza.
Red Crescent branches
The Society stated that the branches of the Egyptian Red Crescent cover the governorates of the Republic, through 27 branches in the governorates: Marsa Matrouh, the Red Sea, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sohag, the New Valley, Cairo, Port Said, Ismailia, Sharkia, North Sinai, Giza, Alexandria, Suez, Aswan. , South Sinai, Damietta, Minya, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Qalyubia, Beheira, Luxor, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Qena, Assiut.
