“Work”: awareness seminars on the provisions of child labor.. and the conclusion of training programs for the girls of the lake

The Ministry of Labor received a report from the Labor Directorate in Buhaira Governorate regarding the organization of two seminars to raise awareness about the dangers of child labor and prohibited professions, at Kom Hamada Center inside a plastic factory, and ready-made clothing companies in Kafr El Dawar, based on the role of the Ministry of Labor and its keenness to prevent child labor in hazardous work and the worst forms of child labor. As well as conducting a training completion test for the two training courses on the profession of tailoring and sewing in the mobile training unit in the village council of Al-Buraijat for 30 trainees, and it included a theoretical and a practical test.

This came in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Hassan Shehata, to pay attention to training girls and empower them economically to help them obtain decent job opportunities, or to start their own small projects, and to intensify awareness and education about the provisions of the Labor Law among workers in establishments to enhance work relations between the two parties to the production process and prevent violations. to those provisions.

In his report to the ministry, Othman Abdel Rasoul, Director of the Labor Directorate in Buhaira, explained that two seminars were organized to raise awareness about the dangers of child labor and prohibited professions, in ready-made clothing companies and a plastic factory, to raise awareness of the danger of child labor under the legal age and the penalty for violating the provisions of the law as stipulated. The symposium to explain the articles of the law related to child labor Article 98 regarding the definition of the child in the law, and Article 99 regarding the prohibition of the employment of children of both sexes before they reach the age of completion of basic education or 14 years, whichever is greater, and Article 101 regarding the prohibition of the employment of children for more than 6 hours per day interspersed with a period of rest and lunch the food.

The Director of the Directorate added that the completion of the two training courses on the profession of tailoring and sewing was monitored, and the final test was conducted for the trainees in the mobile training unit in the village council for 30 trainees, as the test included a theoretical part and a practical part, noting that after the training, the Directorate will provide job opportunities for women who wish to work in facilities. The private sector, based on the role of the Ministry of Labor and its keenness to train and qualify young people for the labor market and to assist and follow them after the end of the training period in finding suitable job opportunities that help them improve their living standards.
