Ammon – The annual report of the Central Bank of Jordan for the past year 2022 showed that the balance of the consolidated budget of the branches of Jordanian banks operating in Palestine amounted to 5,808 billion dinars last year, compared to a balance of 5,829.1 million dinars at the end of 2021.

By analyzing the assets side, it turns out that credit facilities constitute the largest component on the assets side. It amounts to about 2.6 billion dinars, and it accounts for about 44.0% of the total assets.

Credit facilities granted in US dollars constitute about 41.0% of the total credit facilities, while credit facilities granted in other foreign currencies account for about 46.4% of the total credit facilities. While the facilities granted in Jordanian dinars accounted for about 12.6% of the total credit facilities.

As for the liabilities side; Customer deposits constitute the largest component, amounting to approximately 4.4 billion dinars, and they account for about 75.7% of the total assets, and deposits in US dollars constitute about 36.4% of the total deposits.

As for deposits in other foreign currencies; It accounts for about 38.5% of total deposits, while deposits in Jordanian dinars accounted for about 25.1% of total deposits.
