Ammon – A royal decree was issued approving the (Regulation of the formations of ministries, departments and government units No. (49) for the fiscal year 2023) and publishing it in the Official Gazette in the issue issued on 8-31-2023.
According to the General Budget Department, the total number of jobs created for appointment purposes for all ministries, departments and government units reached (7,746) jobs, compared to the abolition of (3,784) jobs for the fiscal year 2023.
Subsequently, the number of jobs in ministries, government departments and units for the year 2023 reached (236,679) jobs, compared to (232,717) jobs in 2022, an increase of (3,962) jobs.
The number of jobs created for appointment purposes for ministries and government departments, in accordance with the decisions of the Central Committee for Human Resources, reached (7422) jobs, including (2700) jobs for the Ministry of Education, (2000) jobs for the Ministry of Health, and (550) jobs for the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites.
In addition to (228) jobs for the Ministry of Justice, (210) jobs for the Ministry of Agriculture, (190) jobs for the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, (166) jobs for the Jordanian Customs, (110) jobs for the Judicial Council, (92) jobs for the Chief Judge’s Department, and (86) jobs for the Ministry of Justice. One job for the Ministry of Social Development, (60) jobs for the Income and Sales Tax Department, (60) jobs for the Jordan Valley Authority, (60) jobs for Prince Hamzah Hospital, and (910) jobs for other ministries and government departments.
On the other hand, (3359) jobs were abolished for all ministries and government departments. Accordingly, the number of jobs in ministries and government departments for the year 2023 amounted to (223,427) jobs, i.e. an increase of (4071) jobs.
The number of jobs created for the purposes of appointment for government units reached (324) jobs, including (110) jobs for the Social Security Corporation, (35) jobs for the Water Authority, (33) jobs for the Civil Consumer Corporation, (26) jobs for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and (120) jobs for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. job for the rest of the government units.
On the other hand, (425) jobs were abolished for all government units. Accordingly, the number of jobs in government units for the year 2023 reached (13,252), i.e. a decrease of (109) jobs.
The number of jobs, according to the special regulations of ministries, government departments and units for the year 2023, reached (1904) jobs, with an increase of (25) jobs for the Judicial Council.
