Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have announced their separation after 27 years of marriage.

The couple released a statement confirming the split to People magazine, saying they have decided to “pursue individual growth”.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they said.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The couple said it was the only statement either would be making about the separation.
Their last public appearance together was at the men’s singles final at Wimbledon in July.
Jackman met Furness on the set of Australian TV series Corelli in 1995, and they married the following year.
They have two children – 23-year-old Oscar and 18-year-old Ava.
In April, Jackman celebrated their 27th anniversary with a tribute on Instagram.
“I love you so much,” he wrote.

“Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. “Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me.”
Furness, 67, is an advocate for orphans and adoption, especially in her native Australia, and one of the founding members of National Adoption Awareness Week.
Jackman, 54, who played the superhero Wolverine in several movies, is reprising the role in Deadpool 3, which is on hold due to the Hollywood strike.
