The Food and Drug Authority and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) are organizing a joint international conference entitled “Developments in Microbiome Science and the Concept of Single Digital Health”, during the period from October 30 to November 1, 2023, at the headquarters of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Thuwal Center in the Governorate of grandmother.
In its first edition, the conference will witness the presence of elite experts and speakers from the Kingdom and all over the world over a period of three days. This is to discuss the latest research that includes the various aspects of the concept of one health and the science of the microbiome.
It also highlights how digital and computer resources can be used effectively to unify different research pillars, research groups and entities in digitizing vital data for microbial epidemiological tracking; With the aim of promoting the concept of a single health approach in order to control epidemics and reduce the transmission of infectious diseases to humans through animals, food or the environment. The conference will include daily panel discussions on topics that address the needs and desires of the local and international research community, with a special focus on the microbiome, One Health, and digitization in these areas; With the aim of achieving cooperation with the relevant government agencies.
The conference seeks to bring together scientists and researchers in the field of the microbiome and the One Digital Health approach to exchange ideas and experiences among researchers, present their latest findings and discuss major trends and ideas; To promote and build a solid scientific community in the Kingdom in particular and globally.
