Ammon – The fuel price follow-up committee in the United Arab Emirates approved an increase in gasoline prices during the month of September 2023 by an amount ranging between 28 and 29 fils in gasoline, and 45 fils in diesel per liter, compared to August 2023 prices.
Fuel distribution companies announced the new prices, with implementation starting tomorrow, Friday, September 1, 2023, as the new price included value-added tax at a rate of 5%.
The price of a liter of “98” super gasoline increased by 28 fils, from 3.14 dirhams in August to 3.42 dirhams in September, and a liter of “95” special gasoline increased by 29 fils, from 3.02 dirhams in August to 3.31 dirhams in September.
Likewise, the price of a liter of “E-Plus” 91 petrol increased by 28 fils, from 2.95 dirhams in August to 3.23 dirhams in September.
The price of a liter of diesel increased by 45 fils per liter, from 2.95 dirhams in August to 3.40 dirhams in September.
The committee had decided to reduce gasoline prices during the month of June 2023 by 21 fils for gasoline and 23 fils for diesel per liter compared to May prices. It also approved a reduction in gasoline prices during April by between 7 and 8 fils, and a reduction in diesel by 11 fils per liter compared to March 2023 prices.
The fuel price standards approved by the Ministry of Energy are determined on a monthly basis, according to the average global oil prices, whether they rise or fall, after adding the operating costs of the distribution companies.
