The garment, which aims to raise awareness of climate change is a patchwork coat, made, worn and walked by numerous people over hundreds of miles.
It arrived in the region from St Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh via Dalkeith, Middleton and Stow earlier this month and went on display at The Great Tapestry of Scotland Visitor Centre as part of Doors Open weekend.

Newstead woman Kath McDonald, 77, helped carry the coat on its extraordinary journey. And she was joined by members of Fridays for Future and XR Scottish Borders.
The coat will leave Newstead at 10.30am on Thursday September 28 for Smailholm.

And everyone is invited to join in. The meeting place is at the top end of the village at the Trimontium sign.
On Friday it will be taken to Kelso then on Saturday to Coldstream.
On Sunday it will be taken to Horncliffe, and on Monday it will be taken to Berwick before the final journey to Holy Island on Tuesday.
