Fundraising award for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

Doddie Aid is a virtual mass-participation exercise event founded by former Scotland captain, Rob Wainwright, that lasts for six weeks and started on January 1st.

The foundation saw off strong competition from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, Giraffe About Town and St. Andrew’s Hospice, Tinto Hill Schools Challenge.

A spokesperson said: “This one’s for the big man. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, we’re over the moon. Congratulations to the other charities for their fantastic initiatives.”

Doddie’s charity was also shortlisted for ‘Best marketing and communications campaign’ along with eventual winners Mercy Corps Europe and Ukraine Crisis Response.

The Scottish Fundraising Awards recognise and reward excellence in fundraising, whilst celebrating the achievements of professional fundraisers who are underpinning leading charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

“Fundraisers are the vital conduit to make this happen and we are delighted to announce this year’s shortlist for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland – Scottish Fundraising Awards.



“These awards recognise the outstanding people, contributions and achievements in the field of fundraising.”

Other winners were: Fundraising Team of the Year: Simba, Fundraiser of the Year: Stephanie Shanks of Sight Scotland, Rising Star 2023: Eilidh Murrin Worldwide Cancer Research, Best Supporter Experience: Cerebral Palsy Scotland, Best Partner Relationship: Age Scotland SGN, Best Individual giving Campaign: Crossreach, Best Lagacy Campaign: Erskine.
