Portal discloses reasons alleged by RJ authorities to request ticket withdrawal

O Fluminense will have a decisive meeting next Monday to try to avoid exchanging physical tickets for the semifinal of the Libertadoresagainst Internacional, maintaining the fans’ right to access the stadium with an e-ticket and membership card, something that the Police do not want to allow.

One of the reasons alleged by BEPE/PMERJ, according to the “Trivela” website, is the preference for a larger isolation area, with entry permitted only to people who present a physical ticket. There is also a concern about invasion, as happened with Fla fans on other occasions.

Although there is no history of invasion by Tricolor fans, the authorities understand that it is necessary to prevent it. The final of Brazil’s Cup between Fla and São Paulo, for example, will require the exchange of physical tickets. This game, like Flu and Inter, is considered a “red flag” by the PM.

Authorities classify events that present a high public safety risk in this way. In addition to the amount of audience, other factors that are taken into consideration for this classification are the history of clashes, sporting size of the game, time, location and other issues.
