The organization of the tournament, which will last until August 30, comes with the support and financing of the Youth, Youth and Sports Welfare Fund and in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Office in Hodeidah Governorate and the General Shooting Federation.
The head of the Deaf Sports Federation, Captain Ahmed Al-Qamraa, stated that the tournament, whose competitions will be held on the floor of the university hall in Hodeidah, will be attended by 30 players representing the capital’s secretariat and the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Dhamar, Sana’a, Ibb, Amran, Al-Mahweet, Hadramout, “Mukalla-Seiyun, and Hodeidah, the host of the tournament.
He confirmed the completion of the tournament’s equipment, including the arbitration committees, coaches and translators, in cooperation with the youth office in the governorate and the Shooting Federation, indicating that the actual opening of the tournament is on Saturday evening, with the technical meeting of representatives of the participating teams.
Al-Qamraa pointed out that the championship in its first edition produced many young talents, which prompted the federation to organize the second edition, with the aim of promoting the sport of the deaf in shooting locally and internationally, so that the Yemeni deaf would have an active presence in foreign forums.
